The Post AWP Update

AND SUBS ARE SO SOON!

Happy Post-AWP, Geese!

I hope everyone who made it out to AWP had safe travels back to the home pond. We love love love love loved meeting all of you, and are thrilled to welcome so many new geese to SGP. We might need to turn this pond into a lake.

Here are our big updates:

  1. Submissions for Issue 5 open tomorrow, April 1st. Yes, we’re serious about this, not a bit, not a prank. We want to read your work. Send us your craft-forward whimsy, send us your magic, send us your weirdness, send us your best and brightest and goofiest. A more specific list of guidelines can be found on our website here. We’re so excited to read your words. If you have any questions that cannot be answered by the website, shoot us an email at [email protected]. Please direct poetry questions to Lexi, fiction questions to Rhiannon or Ian, and CNF questions to Parker, and if you have hybrid/art/otherwise un-label-able questions, direct those to Sir Goosington III and we’ll be sure he gets back to you ASAP. Submissions will be open for the entire month of April!

  2. Interested in some honkin’ goose merch? Stay tuned! As a flock of anti-capitalists, we’re new to the whole notion of online storefronts, but we live to serve and are working this out. Keep a weather eye on the horizon for more merch news (ie, we’ll let you know when it’s available for purchase!).

  3. One of the most incredible parts of AWP was discovering how many of you are interested in reading for SGP–that really warms out goosey hearts!  While we won’t be able to offer any readerships for Issue 5, we are definitely thinking about the best ways to tap into our community and fly higher for the future. If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please fill out this form to let us know you're interested! We’ll go through all your lovely responses over the coming months and tap in readers as needed for the coming issues. Thank you for your support!

Last but not least, we want to thank you all so much for stopping by our table, engaging with us, making new friends and memories, and, of course, spinning our wheel. It was so good to meet all y’all geese, old friends and new. We wouldn’t be a pond without you <3

Happy Honking!
