May! May! May!

Happy Spring, Geese!!

As submissions close for Issue 5 (wow, how time flies, am I right??), The Flock has some announcements and news to share with you all!

1. All good things must come to an end. In this case, the good thing is the submission period for Issue 5. We’ve loved reading what’s been submitted and we can’t wait to finish up the pile of whimsy waiting in our inbox! Issue 5 is going to be released on July 17th! So keep a weather eye on the horizon for all the latest work from the pond!

2. One door closes (Issue 5), but another one opens! We’re releasing a super special Pride 2025 mini-issue. Coming soon from Silly Goose Press, Pride: Unedited. Submissions for this special edition of SGP are open only from May 4-11. More information about the submission guidelines can be found on our website (or just click this link), but we’re looking for your queerest, gayest, most fabulous craft-forward whimsy. If you’ve got some work that you think could be what we’re looking for, but aren’t quite sure, take a look at our previous issues to double-check the vibe. WE WANT TO READ YOUR GAY WHIMSY!!

3. Before we read your gay whimsy, however, we are shutting down the website for some maintenance. Parker, our CNF Editor in Chief and our beloved CWG (Chief Website Goose), is making a few changes to sillygoosepress.com in order to make everything, from submitting to reading, wayyyyyyyyyy easier. Our website will be shut down for maintenance on May 1 (TODAY)! Worry not, dearest geese, the site won’t be down for long, and surfing the world wide web will be as whimsical as ever very shortly.
